Other things to see and do

Holy Trinity Anglican Church

On Saturday the Holy Trinity Anglican Church will be decked out with this year's theme Caring for the Flock.

Open from 10am to 12 noon and again from 2pm to 4pm, you don't have to be a church-goer to enjoy this wonderful display. Nor do you have to be an architect to appreciate the beauty of the church. There's even a little treasure hunt - ten things you should know about the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

On Sunday you can attend the Blessing of the Fleece service at 10am.

Located at 40 Bow St, Merriwa, the church is only a 3 minute walk from the main event. Take the time to get way from the crowd and spend a little quiet time at the church.

Merriwa Fire Station Open Day

The Merriwa Fire Station holds its open day on the same day as the Festival of the Fleeces so check out what our wonderful fire services offers.

Summary of Events

The beautiful Holy Trinity Anglican Church holds a themed open day on the Saturday of the long weekend. This is a wonderful display of all things "fleeces". Aside from the themed open day, the church is well worth a visit. It is a magnificent display of early architecture. Built between 1899 and 1900, the sandstone building replaced the original 1855 timber church.

The Merriwa Fire Station holds its open day to coincide with the Festival of the Fleeces.
