Straight from the paddock to the spotlight where there’s nowhere to hide, these working dogs and their handlers don’t have the luxury of an editing room. What you see is what it’s like in the paddock. Will it be a good day or bad day? Will the dogs be running hot or running cold?
How does it work? The trail judge sets a course, allocates the permitted time to complete the course, and determines the number of sheep in the mob that the dog and handler have to work with. The judge then communicates to the handlers what is expected of them in order to obtain maximum points. This is a high-stress environment and not for the feint hearted. If it goes wrong in the paddock, there’s no one to see!
The handler needs to keep their cool even if the dog is turning into a reclacitrant!
Starting at 8.30am on Saturday 7th June at the Showgrounds, this action packed day will wow you. Come down and catch the action for an hour or four! Have a bite to each and check out the vintage cars.
For the handlers it may go to plan or it may go to hell in a handbasket! Check it out!
